A Lifetime Passion to Enhance Universal Longevity
Dr. Joseph Antoun MD, PhDLongevity isn’t just the result of the fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle choices you make to optimize your own health. Everything around you – the people in your community, the air you breathe, the water you use to drink and bathe – affects your longevity.
Just as our environment has an impact on us, our decisions have an impact on our environment – and ironically, many of the changes we’re making in the interest of our longevity as humans can hurt our planet.
Biohacking can contribute to high-polluting industries; new supplements and trendy tech create more packaging and a greater carbon footprint; and ultimately, longer lives mean we consume more. It’s a complex and crucially important relationship.
Universal longevity is the idea that your health is influenced by not only how you choose to live your life, but the environment you choose to live in – it’s a symbiotic relationship. It’s about understanding the bigger picture, and making sure that our longevity-minded choices don’t just benefit ourselves as individuals, but all of us. We need to prioritize the longevity of our environment if we expect it to keep up with a population that’s living longer and living healthier. When we have a healthy planet, strong communities, and sustainable living, we’re not just improving our lives—we’re building a future where longevity is possible for all.
Meet Dr. Joseph Antoun
My passion is to transform the current sick care system into one focused on preventative health and technologies, products, and lifestyles that help people stay biologically younger for longer. The younger we are on the inside, the further we stay from age-related diseases such as diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and cardiovascular conditions.
I lead and support global research, advocacy, and companies that aim to bring evidence-based interventions to enhance the human healthspan—the healthy part of life.
I dedicated the first part of my life to becoming a health and longevity expert and thought leader, and to building the first-to-market longevity company, L-Nutra (Longevity through Nutrition). I am dedicating the second part of my life to bringing L-Nutra and other emerging longevity companies to mass adoption among consumers, patients, and policymakers.
